История Оливера, конечно, кажется наивной и слишком счастливо заканчивающейся. Но на самом деле лёгкость и юмор автора подают поистине ужасную жизнь бедноты не в черных красках, а оставляют некую надежду. Эта ирония и юмор Диккенса просто прекрасны. Правда сюжет провисает в середине, когда некие повторы перипетий утомляют.
