How to master all English tenses

English verb tenses show when something happens - past, present, or future. There are 12 main ones, like simple present, past continuous, or future perfect. They're tricky because English uses helper verbs and changes word endings in ways that don't always make sense. Some tenses describe exact moments, others focus on duration. Many languages use fewer tenses, so the variety feels overwhelming. Plus, native speakers often break the rules in casual speech.
