The Bucolics and Eclogues

This is an English translation of Virgil's poems of the same name. The first, Eclogue I, is written as a dialogue between two characters, Melibous and Tityrus. Next comes Eclogue II Where Amaryllis bemoans his fate. The poems are in the countryside and are interesting for the description of it, the mention of the use of sheep's milk, the use of herbs and the plants that grow there.
