She doesn’t protect anybody, it’s her who needs nearly constant protection from people aggrieved by her snooping. Instead of a wedding chapel at the end, she expects to get a slice of cake and a cup of tea. So, it’s a comedy.
The story is based on my investigation of nonprofit companies bringing immigrants to the US.
