Inversion of reflection seismic data

This book sets out the theoretical foundations of one of the methods for obtaining stable solutions to inverse seismic problems based on the use of the classical regularization method. The algorithm developed by the author was implemented jointly with D.N. Krylov in a software product for the system for processing and interpreting seismic data SDS-3 (Central Geophysical Expedition of the Ministry of Oil Industry of the USSR).

The technique has become widely used in solving geological problems in the regions of Western Siberia and the Caspian region.
