The moving and personal journey of author Kim Smith, who contracted sepsis resulting in the loss of all four of her limbs.

Following a urine infection whilst in Spain, Kim's treatment came too late and the infection turned to sepsis; her condition so serious that a coma had to be induced. Nine weeks later she awoke to the news that none of her limbs could be saved and amputation was her only option.

Kim writes frankly about her experience and with this book hopes to give advice and guidance about the dangers of this condition so that it can be spotted and treatment sought before it becomes life-threatening.
