A Broken Memory

Gladys Brooke and her brother Wilfred are central to the plot. Following their parents' deaths, both received some money that they could live comfortably on. Wilfred had been gambling, unbeknownst to Gladys, but he had been wise enough to keep his position in a great mercantile house where his father had placed him before his death. Will Gladys find out that Wilfred is spending a great deal more than he could afford?
