Caro Neuhofer, 40 years old, married, 2 children, social worker – that was her life 10 years ago. Then she meets Alex, assistant to the care manager of her new client. From then on, everything changes. Caro falls in love with Alex and gives up her old life. The two find each other, grow apart, find each other again. It's a long road to the start of their marriage. But it's worth it – they are overjoyed. Then Caro falls ill and everything changes. Bettina enters Caro and Alex's lives. She needs emotional support. Alex looks after her devotedly.
