A Doll's House

"A Doll's House" was written by Henrik Ibsen when he lived in Italy. The book illustrates his belief that man and wife were denied equality by the rigid rules of the law and convention. This play inevitably led critics to respond that the author had no respect for the sanctity of marriage.
