Chapter 1: Tom Wakes Up

Tom is a boy from London. He lives with his parents and his little sister Lily. Every morning, he wakes up at seven o’clock. He brushes his teeth and gets dressed. Then he eats breakfast with his family. His favorite food is toast with jam. After breakfast, he puts on his schoolbag. He says goodbye to his parents and walks to school. On the way, he meets his friend Ben. They walk together and talk about their day.

Chapter 2: At School

Tom goes to Green Valley School. He is in the fifth grade. His teacher is Miss Brown. She is kind and always smiling. In class, he reads books and writes notes. He likes math and science. Sometimes he talks too much with his friends. Miss Brown tells him to be quiet. At lunchtime, Tom eats sandwiches and drinks juice. After lunch, there is a break. He plays football with his classmates.

Chapter 3: The Football Game

During the break, Tom plays football with his friends. He is fast and good at kicking the ball. One day, the ball flies over the fence. Tom climbs the fence to get it back. He jumps down and lands in a flowerbed. He gets dirty but finds the ball. He runs back to his friends. They laugh and play again. After school, Tom walks home. He feels happy and tired.
