The Flood – The Long Journey of a Nun's Child

Bea's friend Christian lives on a farm when it is suddenly flooded by the stream behind the house. Some rooms and furniture are destroyed, and the two have to gather the damaged items outside in a pile. Bea is magically drawn to the barn, where she finds an old, rusty box. She hopes it's a treasure chest, but when Christian opens it with a pair of bolt cutters, a very different treasure comes to light…

At the same time, Bernadette, a nun, flees a convent in 1940 with a secret that weighs heavily on her heart. She has experienced terrible things that she will never forget and wants to find peace with her parents. But when she arrives in the village where she grew up, everything is completely different and she is dependent on the help of her neighbor.
