Dangerous Score

A deadly virus strikes Southern China. Lin, a college teacher from a family of government officials, returns from her studies in the U.S. With her new-found faith leading her social credit score to plummet, her family begs her to give up her belief. When she refuses to obey, her family casts her out. She loses her job and home and ends up on the streets of the megacity of Guangzhou. Don, an underworld lord, saves her from being assaulted, and in return, Lin tries to save his life and shares the Gospel with him. For Don, this is mere superstition, but he lets her go with a warning to stay away from the streets. Lin contracts the virus, but with no money and a low social credit score, she is the last on the hospitals' waiting lists. Don offers to help her, but she declines until she discovers his true feelings for her. But then the government is on his heels too.
