Found Dead

Found Dead by Fred M. White is about washed-up novelist of the grimmest tales Sir John Mortmain, who refers to himself as Stevenson-cum-Edgar Allan Poe. Mortmain's friend one day finds a dead burglar lying on his living room tiles, and is presented with a mystery and an opportunity. Excerpt: «Sir John Mortmain turned over the Sunday papers idly in search of some item of possible interest.
