The Monster Comes To Ceuta and Other Migrant Short Stories

Each short story provides a glimpse into the unique journeys of different refugees and the physical and emotional challenges faced by thousands of people escaping tyranny and oppression. The destination is a refugee camp in Ceuta, Spain, and each journey is fraught with its own dangers and uncertainties.

Jones is entangled with the beautiful Dolly, who has been sold to a ruthless madam. Chinedu and Larry must navigate past the Guardia Civil to the safety of the camp. The eponymous monster, Ogboru, threatens to cause the atmosphere of latent violence in the camp to spill over into bloodshed. At the centre is Ediomwan, the enigmatic guide who shepherds desperate refugees across the North African mountains.
